Ornamental Features

Oso Easy Double Red Rose features showy scarlet flowers at the ends of the branches from late spring to mid fall. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It has forest green foliage throughout the season. The glossy oval compound leaves turn yellow in fall. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.

Landscape Attributes

Oso Easy Double Red Rose is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth. Its relatively coarse texture can be used to stand it apart from other landscape plants with finer foliage.

It tends to fill out right to the ground and therefore doesn't necessarily require facer plants in front. It grows at a fast rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 20 years.

This shrub should only be grown in full sunlight. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution. This particular variety is an interspecific hybrid.
